RIDE FOR ROGAN!
MAKE-A-WISH Utah. Thank you. →
From GoRogan.com
Endless thanks to the Utah Chapter of the Make-A-Wish Foundation for sending our family to Maui to honor Rogan’s wish. With all that we have going on.. and with the continued costs of Rogan’s cancer treatment… this trip was definitely NOT in the budget. We are forever grateful… and it will exactly what our family needs.
The Foundation will handle the big expense of getting there + 1 week of accommodations… and a few awesome activity’s that Rogan will flip out on… submarine ride, glass bottom boat tour, etc. She’s already obsessed w/ water and has little to no fear. Need to book swim lessons pronto!
Ride For Rogan Party
Thank you to everybody who came out last night for our party! We had a lot of people show up and I think that everybody had a great time. Special thanks to Parker Jones at Capital Bike for helping to organize the party, slideshow, and generously donating some gift baskets. We would also like to thank Hook and Ladder Brewing Company and Bay Ridge Wine & Spirits for donating supplies for the party.
Favorite Photos: The Abbey of Gethsemani in Kentucky. We spent a day here with the Trappist monks, spent almost entirely in silence as we attended mass and meditated on the beauty and peacefulness of our surroundings.
Favorite Photos: On our day off in Kansas Danny got to teach Wilder a little bit about soldering and debugging circuits. Look how cool this house was! They have light bulb salt and pepper shakers!
Favorite Photos: Sunset in Kansas. We camped at the exact halfway point between the Atlantic and Pacific oceans this night. There was an old train car on exhibit next to our campsite. Our route through most of Kansas followed the Santa Fe railroad which was instrumental in bringing ranchers to the west and bring cattle back.
Favorite Photos: Frost on everything! This was our coldest night when the temperature dropped below 16 degrees F. All of the water bottles that weren’t inside of the tent were completely frozen and, surprise surprise, it took us a long while to muster the energy and motivation to leave the tent and climb up Monarch Pass.
Favorite Photos: Jerry and the first snow of the year in Colorado. This is the day before we climbed the Continental Divide at Monarch Pass. The day after we did the pass we encountered more weather and rode for a while in hail and snow.
