RIDE FOR ROGAN!

Getting into and out of D.C. is a nightmare on bikes. We tried to find a route but decided that the safest thing would be to take public transportation and avoid the busy highways. The Amtrak in Fredericksburg doesn’t allow bikes however we were able to convince the conductor to let us bring them on. We took it all the way to Union Station in D.C. and rode our bikes out of there to the Capitol. Spent some time there and then took the Metro line to Largo which is just east of the beltway. We arrived in Annapolis at sunset!

Corey Crawford, a 20 year resident of Bay Ridge, and his wife Casey had their first daughter, Rogan Tomey Crawford in January, 2007.   Shortly after, she was diagnosed with acute lymphocytic leukemia, a form of blood cancer that is most commonly seen in infants. It's been over a year since she began treatment and she has improved immensely in that time.   In an effort to raise awareness of the benefit fund set up in Rogan's name and to show support from the neighborhood that the Crawford's impacted so much, Danny, Jerry and Joe Ricciotti have elected to ride bicycles cross country for Rogan's cause. We will be updating this website with photos from our trip as often as possible so please check in from time to time and keep Rogan in your thoughts as we will in ours.
