I heard a sloshing sound above me and looked up to see several hot air balloons rising above our campsite. Over the next 30 minutes there must be been 20 balloons that were launched next to us!
Corey Crawford, a 20 year resident of Bay Ridge, and his wife Casey had their first daughter, Rogan Tomey Crawford in January, 2007. Shortly after, she was diagnosed with acute lymphocytic leukemia, a form of blood cancer that is most commonly seen in infants. It's been over a year since she began treatment and she has improved immensely in that time. In an effort to raise awareness of the benefit fund set up in Rogan's name and to show support from the neighborhood that the Crawford's impacted so much, Danny, Jerry and Joe Ricciotti have elected to ride bicycles cross country for Rogan's cause.
